Design a Game

I feel sad about I don’t have the opportunity to learn design games when I was in school, From elementary school to university.

Why did I find this? I was learning English listening by a video from my English teacher Eric. In this video, a TEDer represented how they change their way of education. They taught students in a way similar to what I got in school. But they decide that they will let students manage their education, so students could learn how to design a game now.

Designing game is an interesting work, you could find a lot of joy in designing games. One could make models, draw pictures, write codes, hacking vfxs, etc. And mostly, one could research creative things that make a game interesting.

But, in China, games especially computer games, are always related to evil things. Like violence, lazy man, etc. So there is nearly no school in China that teaches students to design games. For example, I don’t have the opportunity to even have a try. It should be very interesting to design a game.

I am always in a hurry, for learning things that I should learn but not interesting. My study load here is extremely heavy. I do not have much chance to learn something interesting, like working with animals, designing games, etc.

After my student career, I start working, and I found there is nearly no personal life after 10 years working. I don’t even have much vacation. Always working, making money, paying rent, paying my apartment, paying for banks. No rest, some joy I could have is my passion is coding, so my work is funny. And sometimes I could make friends with my colleagues.

When I look at studying career and life of western people, I found they seem to have a different life with a lot of fun. They could learn how to work with animals, etc. And they don’t work a lot, compared to me.
